The first New Horizons Band was founded by Roy Ernst, Ph.D., in 1991. Dr. Ernst is Professor Emeritus at The Eastman School of Music, The University of Rochester, Rochester, NY.
New Horizons is a program for adult beginners (even those who can not read music) and people who played in school but have not played for many years. There are now nearly 100 bands across the country.
Our band was formed in January, 2004 and had thirty five members.
We are always looking for new members, so please join us.
